Meet our finance and accounting team!

Tina Moore’s introduction is long overdue! Tina has been serving our conferences part-time since last January 2019. She started as a temp and joined our staff officially in July. She is our Accounting Clerk, processing expenses, entering deposits, reconciling credit card statements, and tracking down details and answers to a wide variety of questions regarding our daily cash flows and accounting. She is persistent and curious, which are excellent qualities for her work with us!

Temmi Odesanya-Yaqub is the newest addition to our Iowa-Nebraska-South Dakota staffing team, starting as our Finance Director on January 21st, 2020. She will work closely with our Executive Conference Minister Brigit Stevens and the treasurers of our conferences to ensure that good and faithful accounting policies and practices are followed and well-documented. Temmi’s work will include providing financial statements and analysis to our staff and boards of directors, supporting and promoting transparent and healthy practices with our restricted funds and other net assets, and leading our team’s part of the work for each year’s financial audit. She brings excitement for our shared work and ministry and years of and years of education and experience to our team!

Hear from Tina

I have worked in accounting for many years and have found it to be one of my true passions. I love the numbers and the thrill of the research and getting things to balance. In my free time, I like to go on long walks and ride my bike on the many trails in the Des Moines area. I also stay busy with my two teenage boys. They keep life going a mile a minute with never a dull moment.

Hear from Temmi

My name is Temmi Odesanya-Yaqub. I have a Bachelors Degree from Drake University in Accounting/Marketing. I also earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from AIB College of Business. Currently, I am working on earning my Masters Degree in Accounting from Drake University here in Des Moines, IA. I was born in Chicago, IL, my parents are Nigerians. I have an accent however, because I was raised in Nigeria. I have been back to the States since I was 18 and lived in Des Moines, IA for the most part. I recently got married to my husband, Adekunle Yaqub and I am looking forward to building a beautiful family as we grow together. I have worked in the corporate world for some years after college with companies like ADP, Equifax and Wells Fargo.  I value customer service and enjoy working with business administration projects such as managing accounting books, discussing financial topics and retailing (buying and selling).

I am glad I am part of this team. I see my values as a human being aligning much closely with the values Tri- Conference Ministries has. I am a believer in justice, advocating for the greater good in our world, rejecting negativity and focusing on improving lives and making things better. I have been here a few days and learning about the values of this company, I am grateful to be part of the team and I am looking forward to making a significant impact as I do my tasks daily.
