On Sunday October 3rd, the people of Ripley United Church of Christ in Traer, IA blessed their second gathering of over 100 quilts this year. With these quilts completed and on their way to recipients around the region they are well on their way to making and distributing 1,000 quilts over the last three years!

“The quilters at Ripley are a small but dedicated group, who use fabric and thread to live out Christ’s calling to serve the needy, forgotten, and abused in the world,” shared Rev. Erika Breddin. “As a small congregation, in a small town, it can be a struggle to feel connected to the larger church, and to the world. Through the gift of these quilts, the people of Ripley UCC know they are impacting the lives of others in a positive way and giving of themselves in sacrificial love for others.”

Thank you for the work you are doing and for sharing this great news with us!
