A Time for Contemplative Practice is an opportunity for people in our Conferences to gather for the purpose of engaging in contemplative practices together, to set the intentions for the coming week, and to become equipped to lead similar gatherings in their own communities and contexts. Some of the practices we will encounter are Centering Prayer, holding space for one another in silence, Lectio Divina, and Visio Divina.
The gatherings will happen every Monday on Zoom at 8:00am and 3:00pm CT from October 4th through November 8th (October 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th and November 1st and 8th). The morning session are specifically for clergy (MIDs, retirees, and ecumenical partners) and the afternoon sessions are open to both clergy and congregants. Session hosts include ACMs Rev. Kendy Miller and Rev. Sarah Rentzel Jones. You are encouraged, but not required to come to sessions on a weekly basis. You will receive the Zoom information via email after registering (be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox!).
