SUMMARY:Boundless Compassion Retreat
DESCRIPTION:“Compassion is a necessity\, not a luxury. Without it\, humanity cannot survive.” (Dalai Lama) Compassion can change a heart\, change a life\, change a world. This retreat\, based upon the work of Sr. Joyce Rupp\, OSM\, is open to people of all faiths and spiritualties. You are invited to explore the depth of the many layered components of compassion\, the central quality of the life and teachings of Jesus. You are invited to expand and deepen your understanding of compassion from both a personal and professional perspective. You will glean insights for many dimensions including theology\, spirituality\, science\, sociology and psychology. You will experience this opportunity as a catalyst for a renewed commitment to be a compassionate presence to yourself and to others who are in the midst of pain and struggle. The retreat is limited to 30 participants\, more information is available at StBenedictCenter.com and https://www.boundlesscompassion.org/. \nPatty Forsberg is a spiritual director in Lincoln\, Nebraska\, and is a core facilitator for Boundless Compassion. She is an experienced retreat presenter\, guiding people in a variety of prayer forms. Jeanne Johnson is a licensed lay minister and certified spiritual director. She holds a Master’s in Counseling & Psychology. Jeanne has experience in retreat leadership\, Boundless Compassion and Biospiritual Focusing facilitation. \nThe retreat will run from Sunday\, June 19th at 7:00 p.m. CT through Thursday\, June 23rd at 4:00p.m. CT with optional facilitator training Friday 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. Program Fee: $150 Rooms per Night (plus tax): Single Occupancy $46\, Double Occupancy\, $39 per person. DESCRIPTION:Rev. Dustin Bartlett will be installed as the new pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Watertown\, South Dakota\, on June 26th at 2:30 pm. Rev. Samantha Houser\, Associate Conference Minister for the Iowa\, Nebraska\, and South Dakota Conferences will be preaching. Clergy are invited to wear red stoles and process at the beginning of the service.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThose are in attendance are recommended to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and masks will be optional.
