SUMMARY:Re-imagining for Tomorrow: Building the Future for Our Youth
DESCRIPTION:During the Covid-19 pandemic\, challenges have arisen for the Church at all levels. We are adjusting to the new normal that has grown from the last two years and are continuing to be faithful in being what and who God has called us to be. \nThe Faith INFO team believes that this is an opportunity for us to evaluate many of the ways we have gathered traditionally and offer new ways of being the church. To that end\, we are taking a close look at the youth ministry and National Youth Event to support the changes\, desires and call of young people today. Over two days\, 100 youth ministers and leaders will gather virtually to reimagine youth ministry and present clear guidelines for what is needed post covid. SUMMARY:Contemplative Practices for Lent
DESCRIPTION:Lent is a season of helping our congregations look inward and opening to God’s extravagant love. As we encourage our congregations to do this\, we must\, ourselves be nourished spiritually. “Contemplative Practices for Lent” is space offered in community for us to practice one aspect of what we preach in this season. For the Lenten series\, we will be using music as our tool for contemplative prayer.\n\nThese gatherings will be hosted by ACM Rev. Kendy Miller on Mondays in Lent\, February 28th through April 11th\, from 8:00-9:00am CT (specific dates are Feb. 28; Mar. 7\, 14\, 21\, and 28; and Apr. 4 and 11). Please join her practicing contemplative prayer so that our actions of justice may stem from the root of Christ’s love.\n\nThe event is free and is open to clergy and christian educators in the UCC.
