SUMMARY:Registration Deadline for "The Healing Language of Dreams"
DESCRIPTION:The Workshop: \nAll people dream but many people do not know how to understand these messages. This workshop with the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center (DMPCC) is an opportunity to both learn about dreams from a Jungian perspective and to interact with your own dreams and the dreams of others. Dreams provide opportunities for us to find healing by exploring the images and symbols as a source of information given to us in liminal space. They are a convergence of the creativity of our minds\, the energy of universal themes contained in archetypes\, and the presence of luminous Spirit or God. \nIn this five-week workshop\, you will learn some of the defining concepts of dream interpretation\, the architecture Jung developed to understand the mind and spirit connection\, the seven major types of dreams\, tools to unpack your personal dreams\, the practice of doing a dream group\, leaning into a group dream\, and the spiritual and religious nature of dreams. \nThis experience will be both didactic and interactive. Participants will be asked to bring and share dreams and to engage respectfully with the dreams of others. No dream is without merit. The foundational premise is that our dreams seek to help us heal\, understand ourselves and the world\, and connect us with the spiritual life. \nFull participation in this workshop will provide participants with 1 CEU Credit (Continuing Education Unit Credit) \nDates: March 10\, 17\, 24\, 31 and April 7\, 1pm – 3pm \nCost: $140 ($28/class)\n*Scholarships available. Contact Chris Waddle (cwaddle@dmpcc.org) for more information. \nLocation: Virtual (Zoom) \nRegistration: Contact Chris Waddle (cwaddle@dmpcc.org) to learn more\, or click below to register now. Registration deadline is March 3rd.

SUMMARY:Webinars for Congregational Well-Being: Congregational Discernment
DESCRIPTION:As congregations\, we find ourselves at a crossroads sometimes; when a pastor leaves\, when numbers dwindle\, when “the way we’ve always done it” no longer works. When we encounter these times\, we are invited\, as people of faith\, to discern our next faithful steps. Often we make quick and logical decisions without doing the slow work of faithful discernment. If you are wondering what’s next for your congregation\, consider attending this webinar to learn what discernment is and how you can practice it together with your congregation.\n\n\nThe webinar will be cohosted by ACM Rev. Kendy Miller and Rev. Dr. Renee Jackson\, Minister for Ministerial Formation with the national setting. The webinar will be held on March 30th from 6:00 – 7:30pm CT and is free and open to congregational leaders and pastors in our UCC Conferences. Please register to let us know that you’re coming!\n\n\nThis webinar is part of a series of four webinars focused on congregational well-being. The others will happen in June\, September and November (more details coming later!). If someone from your congregation is present at all four of the webinars (doesn’t have to be the same person every time) your congregation will receive a package of Conference swag!\n\n\nRev. Dr. Renee Jackson’s role as the Minister for Ministerial Formation is to cultivate a culture of call with Local Churches\, including support of Local Church Discernment Committees Supports opportunities for Members in Discernment Undergirds COMs in the use of the Marks of Faithful and Effective Authorized Ministers Liaison with the UCC History\, Theology and Polity Network and the Regional Theological Education Consortium.
